DC Poonch reviews working of R&B department, progress under district Capex Budget

POONCH, September 05: District Development Commissioner Yasin M. Choudhary today chaired a meeting in the conference hall of the DC Office Poonch to discuss the reorganization of the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department and review the progress achieved District Capital Expenditure (Capex) budget.

 The gathering brought together engineers, officials, and heads of various departments to discuss and address the developmental initiatives within the district.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Sandesh Kumar Sharma; Chief Planning Officer, Maqsood Ahmed; S.E of R&B Circle Poonch, KK  Atri; XEN PWD(R&B), Division Poonch Yasir Bashir and other Executive Engineers from both the Poonch division and the newly established Mendhar & Surankote Divisions were present in the meeting along with AEEs, AEs, JEs.

The heads of other departments were also in attendance, highlighting the collaborative efforts being undertaken to streamline developmental projects.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the current status of ongoing developmental works within the district.

The S.E of R&B Circle Poonch provided a comprehensive briefing to the Deputy Commissioner, highlighting the progress and challenges encountered in executing various projects.

In a bid to ensure effective coordination and streamlined processes, the Deputy Commissioner directed all heads of other departments to transfer all relevant records and documents to the R&B Department promptly.

 The R&B Department was instructed to expedite the pace of ongoing projects without compromising on quality. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of timely completion and urged the department to submit expenditure reports at the earliest.

The District Development Commissioner, expressed his confidence in the abilities of the R&B Department and other stakeholders, urging them to work together to achieve the envisioned developmental goals. He assured the public that every effort would be made to expedite the completion of projects, thereby improving the overall infrastructure and quality of life for the residents of Poonch.
