DC Poonch reviews progress of Mission Yuva implementation

POONCH, MAY 31: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, today chaired a review meeting to assess the implementation status of Mission Yuva, a government initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, General Manager DIC, Deputy Director Employment & Counselling Centre, Assistant Labour Commissioner, District Nodal Officer JKEDI and District Manager NRLM.
At the outset, the Assistant Director, Employment gave a briefing on the scope of the flagship scheme through a PowerPoint presentation, highlighting its objectives and current progress.


The AD informed that the Mission Yuva is being implemented in a phased manner. “Initially, awareness camps were held across the district to engage and inform the youth. This was followed by the invitation of applications through the Mission Yuva mobile app and official portal. The scheme has now entered its third phase, focusing on the preparation of Detailed Project Reports for the proposed entrepreneurship ventures” he added.


He informed that as of now 29 applications have been received under the scheme. The preparation of the DPRs will be taken up by the District Nodal Officer, JKEDI (Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute).
The Deputy Commissioner directed the stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and timely completion of all required formalities for the successful execution of the initiative.
The SDMs of Surankote and Mendhar also joined the meeting through virtual mode.
