DC Poonch reviews functioning of revenue department
Stresses on quality services, efficient land record management
POONCH, JUNE 10: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today reviewed the functioning of the revenue department here at a meeting, focusing on land management, digital governance and public Services delivery.
The DC emphasized the timely recreation of Mussavies, stressing their importance to ensure updated and accurate land records. The status of the Land Bank was reviewed, with directions to all Tehsils to update Google Sheets to support transparency and developmental planning.
The Deputy Commissioner directed Tehsildars to fully transition to the e-Office platform to streamline office functioning and improve administrative efficiency. He also reviewed the status of revenue services under the Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA), urging strict compliance to timelines and accountability for any delays.
Grievances redressal through the JK Samadhan portal was also discussed, with instructions for timely and effective disposal of public complaints.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed to expedite the process of freezing Jamabandis as per guidelines to ensure the integrity of land records. A review of the Central Record Room was also conducted, with emphasis on proper inventory management and systematic maintenance of land documents.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sub Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars.
