DC Poonch inspects Gundi Nayian Banwat WSS, stresses prompt commissioning

POONCH, MAY 27: In a move to ensure consistent access to potable water, Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal conducted an on site review of the Gundi Nayian Banwat Water Supply Scheme, a key initiative under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the urgency of bringing the scheme into operation and directed the Jal Shakti (PHE) Division Poonch to fast track all codal formalities to ensure its prompt commissioning. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to delivering essential services to the public without delay.

Executive Engineer Jal Shakti apprised the Deputy Commissioner that the requisite work has been completed and the scheme is ready for commissioning, ensuring water supply to the concerned areas will begin shortly.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti, along with other field officials. The team assured timely execution of the remaining processes. The district administration remains focused on upgrading essential infrastructure and enhancing public welfare through efficient service delivery.
