DC Poonch discusses UT Capex Budget proposals, DA-JGUA, TSP action plan
POONCH, JUNE 14: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal convened a meeting today to discuss the preparation of the UT Capex Budget, with focus on the augmentation of infrastructure and execution of welfare initiatives in tribal dominated areas as envisages under Dharti Aaba Janjatya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan.
At the start of the meeting, Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Rafi provided a comprehensive overview of the Tribal centric schemes through a PowerPoint presentation. Discussions included the formulation of annual DA-JGUA action plan and the Tribal Sub Plan, as well as the utilization of the Infrastructure fund aimed at tribal area development.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of saturating data on the Dharti Aaba Janghagidari Abhiyan portal of MOTA. He highlighted the need for effective Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities under the initiative.
As a part of the campaign, 58 tribal villages have been identified across the district for implementation of government schemes to ensure bridging of developmental and economic gaps. The Deputy Commissioner stressed on 100 percent saturation of welfare schemes in all tribal villages.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, PO-ICDS, ACP, CPO, ACD, XENs, Chief Agriculture Officer, DEPO, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, AD CAPD, BDOs and other senior district officers.
