DC Leh stresses ensuring smooth conduct of UPSC Civil Services Pre-Exam in Leh

Leh, May 26: Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse convened a meeting to review the preparation regarding the conduct of the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2023, scheduled to be held on May 28th (Sunday) at Leh, in the presence of Additional Secretary UPSC and Deputy Director, UPSC, New Delhi.

UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2023 would be conducted at two centers in Leh viz. Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, Leh, and Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Leh.

The meeting deliberated in detail on the role and responsibilities of the exam functionaries, including coordinating supervisor, assistant coordinating supervisor, venue supervisors, local inspecting officers, invigilators, police, and postal department. The SOPs for the entry and exit of candidates, sitting arrangements, the safe storage and handling of the question booklets and OMR answer sheets along with the deployment of security were also discussed.

DC Leh instructed the exam functionaries to be well aware of their roles and to ensure that any discrepancy hindering the smooth and successful conduct of the said examination is avoided while duly performing their duties.
