DC Leh Santosh Sukhadeve chairs meeting to review public grievances status following tour to Nubra and Nyoma subdivisions

Leh, August 30: Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, chaired a comprehensive meeting to assess the status of public grievances and representations that were presented to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra and the Deputy Commissioner Leh during their recent tour to the Nubra and Nyoma subdivisions.

The objective was to provide an update on the progress made on the various grievances and suggestions that were highlighted by the residents during the tour.

Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve emphasized the significance of promptly addressing the concerns of the public. He stated that the purpose of this meeting is to ensure that the grievances and representations presented by the people are being given due consideration and are being acted upon in a timely manner.

The meeting discussed various demands raised by the residents during the tour, outlining the steps taken to address the grievances by various departments. The departments reported on the progress of actions taken, such as infrastructure development, healthcare facilities, education enhancement, and connectivity improvements in the Nubra and Nyoma subdivisions.

Deputy Commissioner, Leh took updates from the officers on the establishment of medical facilities and the deployment of medical staff to provide better healthcare access to the remote areas. Also, reviewed the progress on initiatives to improve and upgrade school infrastructure, including the provision of necessary resources and teaching staff.

Besides, he discussed the ongoing projects with the concerned officer to enhance road and communication networks, ensuring better connectivity to the subdivisions.

Additionally, the officers from various departments apprised DC Leh that works are already going on some of the demands.

Furthermore, he directed all the officers to address all the genuine and basic demands at the earliest. He stressed that the administration’s commitment to ensuring the well-being and progress of the residents of Nubra and Nyoma remains steadfast.

In conclusion, he directed the officials and officers of various departments to submit the updated information and action taken remarks at the earliest.
