DC Kupwara inaugurates new Tehsil Office Building at Kralpora; conducts surprise visit to SDH

KUPWARA, October 09: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Monday inaugurated the new Tehsil Office Building at Kralpora in presence of DDC Member Kralpora, Adv. Masrat; DDC Reddi Chowkibal, Habibullah Beigh and Local BDC Chairman, Mohammad Akbar Rather.

Tehsildar Kralpora, BDO Kralpora, SHO Kralpora besides other officers, PRIs, and local public were also present on the occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner on the occasion said that it was a long pending demand of the people of Kralpora which was taken into consideration and fulfilled by the Administration. She said the creation of public infrastructure and providing facilities to the people at their door steps was the first priority of the district administration Kupwara.

She also took a round of the newly constructed building and expressed satisfaction over the quality of work.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the executing agency to complete the remaining work of the building at the earliest.

After inauguration, the DC congratulated the PRIs and people and said that a durable asset has been created with the Support of PRIs.

Pertinently, Tehsil Office Building has been constructed with an allotted cost of Rs. 24.00 Lakhs by Rural Development Department Block Kralpora under ADF (PRI).

The Deputy Commissioner checked the staff strength of the Tehsil Kralpora and interacted with staff and sought their feedback on dispute resolution, public service delivery and other issues.

She directed BDO Kralpora to get the Aloosa Nallah cleared of garbage and other plastic wastes. 

To take stock of the facilities being provided to the patients, the Deputy Commissioner later conducted a surprise inspection of the Sub District Hospital, Kralpora.

She inspected various sections and wards of the Hospital and held interaction with patients and enquired about the facilities being provided to them from Hospital Administration. She inspected the Drug counter, assessed the inventory of crucial supplies and medicines available in the hospital, and examined Optho-Section, NCD Physiotherapy, OT, Wards besides other units of the Hospital.

She also interacted with the PRIs, patients and attendants.

The Deputy Commissioner checked the duty roster of Doctors and paramedical staff and stressed for proper utilization of human resources and to serve the patients with utmost dedication and sincerity.
