DC Kupwara conducts tour of Khumryal, listens public issues

KUPWARA, MARCH 6: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara,  Ayushi Sudan conducted an extensive tour of Khumryal  to take appraisal of  issues confronted by  people of  the area.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by DDC Council Member, Haihama, Sonawallah Khan, ADC Kupwara, Mohammad Rouf Rehman, ZEO Khumryal, Ch. Farooq Khantana, Principal, Government Higher Secondary School Khumryal, Nazir Ahmad Khan and other officers.

During the tour, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the local residents of the area including members of civil society at Government Higher Secondary School Khumryal, where they apprised her regarding the developmental issues of public importance besides additional accommodation for class rooms and  facility of smart classes at the institution.

DC also visited the Khangund area and took stock of the situation where land erosion had occurred due to recent rains and snowfall.

Giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the DC passed directions to the concerned officers for resolving genuine demands and issues projected by people at the earliest.

The purpose of the visit was  to take appraisal of local issues from the general public for precise and on-ground assessment for their time bound redressal.
