DC Doda Harvinder Singh, SSP Sandeep Kumar Mehta participate in Eid-ul-Adha prayers; reiterate commitment to communal harmony
DODA, JUNE 7: On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta, visited Eidgah Doda to participate in the congregational Eid prayers and extend heartfelt greetings to the people of the district.
They were accompanied by senior officers from the civil and police administration.
The Deputy Commissioner and SSP greeted the gathering warmly and interacted with religious leaders and members of the public, conveying their wishes for peace, prosperity, and joy on this sacred festival. They also highlighted the spiritual significance of Eid-ul-Adha, which symbolises sacrifice, compassion and unity.
Addressing the gathering, DC Harvinder Singh lauded the district’s long-standing tradition of communal harmony and called upon the citizens to continue nurturing these values. He said that Doda stands as a symbol of peaceful coexistence in the region.
SSP Sandeep Kumar Mehta, in his remarks, emphasised the importance of peace and unity in fostering holistic development and societal wellbeing.
Both officers appreciated the coordinated efforts of the district administration and law enforcement agencies in ensuring smooth and peaceful arrangements for the Eid prayers. They reiterated the administration’s commitment to promoting a safe, inclusive and harmonious environment for all communities.
