DC Doda convenes meeting on District Road Safety Committee

DODA, FEBRUARY 22: Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh, who is also chairman of District Road Safety Committee, accompanied by SSP Doda Javaid Iqbal today convened a meeting on District Road Safety Committee in DC Office Doda.

During the meeting, the DC Doda emphasized the need for a comprehensive and coordinated approach to improve road safety measures in Doda. Various aspects such as road infrastructure, traffic management, public awareness campaigns related to road safety, and enforcement of traffic rules were discussed in detail.

DC Doda also focused on the training of volunteers for accident measures and identify the “Aapda Mitras” provided them with emergency accident kits. The officers present at the meeting shared their inputs and suggestions on how to effectively implement road safety measures in the district.

The DC Doda directed the concerned departments to work together to formulate a detailed action plan for enhancing road safety in Doda and said the officers to prepare a big map of entire district which cover the road circle, health Institutes, PHCs, and Police station of district that helps in finding the location of accident spots.

Regular monitoring and evaluation mechanisms were also put in place to track the progress of the initiatives and address any challenges that may arise. 

DC Doda also directed the health department to provide ambulance with critical care, desired equipment and a doctor for accident victims during mishap and availability of doctors in near PHCs of district.

During the meeting, ADC Doda, ACR Doda, SE PWD circle Doda, DFO Doda, ARTO Doda, CMO Doda, GM NHIDCL, CEO Doda, Traffic, SDRF, IRAD besides other officers and officials of District Road Safety committee were present.
