DC conducts surprise Inspection of Bandipora Market

Inspects under-construction parking site and private health establishments

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 22: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman Rather today conducted a surprise inspection of Bandipora market and took stock of public amenities and ongoing construction projects.

The inspection was aimed to assess compliance with regulations and ensure the provision of quality goods and services to the public.

During the inspection, the DC meticulously evaluated various aspects of the market, including hygiene practices, food safety measures, and adherence to licensing and other measures.

The DC also inspected private health establishments, private bank, and also took on spot inspection of under construction car parking.

During a surprise inspection of a private health establishment, the DC inspected the dialysis unit, pharmacy and laboratory, and emphasized on the maintenance of infrastructure and the enforcement of fair trade practices besides directing the concerned to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

The DC also visited the HDFC branch Bandipora to assess the efficiency of banking services and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

During the inspection, the DC interacted with bank staff to discuss various aspects of banking operations.

Branch Head Ishfaq Ahmad Wani apprised the DC regarding transactional processes, customer grievances redressal mechanisms, and measures to promote financial inclusion.

During the inspection of the under-construction car parking site, Rather stressed upon the concerned executing agency to complete the work within given timelines.

While interacting with local traders, the DC underscored the need for market vendors and operators to uphold regulations and maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
