DC Budgam reviews Eid preparations

Directs for comprehensive arrangements for overall smooth celebrations

BUDGAM, JUNE 12: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo today convened a meeting of Officers, here to review the arrangements put in place for the ensuing festival of Eid-ul-Adha.

During the meeting, the DC directed Officers of Jal Shakti and KPDCL to ensure smooth supply of water and electricity across the district.

He also directed the Jal Shakti department to press water tankers in required areas and ensure no shortage of water at any place.

Officers from Sheep Husbandry informed the chair that adequate numbers of sheep are available in the district while maintaining quality.

ACP and Executive officers of Municipal Committees were directed to ensure proper sanitation in towns, mosques, eidgahs and other prominent public places
Instructions were passed by the DC to Food safety department and others to constitute joint market checking teams to intensify market checking and check the quality of food items such as Bakery, Confectionery, Milk, Meat, Chicken, Vegetables, and other essentials in the market and ensure the availability of quality products.

He enjoined upon them that, no exorbitant rates are imposed on essential commodities during the festival, and those not-complying with the market rates be dealt with as provided under law.

ADC Budgam Mehraj Ud din, ASP Budgam Raghav S; CPO , CMO, ACD, ACP, SDMs, Executive Engineers of all wings and other District and sectoral Officers attended the meeting.
