DC Budgam lays foundation stone for Blood Component Separator Unit, dedicates MDCP at District Hospital

Inspects ongoing installation of Oxygen Plant facility, fencing & gate constructions

BUDGAM, DECEMBER 14: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo today visited the District Hospital Budgam where he laid foundation stone for the Blood Component Separator Unit.

The DC also dedicated the Modern Dental Chair Pediatric (MDCP) facility for the benefit of children.

During the visit, the DC took stock of work progress of the Oxygen plant installation room besides completion of Gate and Fencing construction projects.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the District Administration Budgam under a focused manner has been optimising resources and ensuring upgradation of healthcare assets and facilities in a short span of time in Budgam.

He said that the Blood Component Separator Unit will enhance the patient care and will meet the requirements of blood platelets, RBCs facilities besides specific blood supply to required patients, at District Hospital.

He said that the construction of the Oxygen plant which is likely to be completed within two weeks time shall ensure uninterrupted oxygen supply to all ICU facilities and needy patients in other wards.

The DC emphasised that construction of all ongoing health projects be completed in a stipulated time frame to dedicate them to the general public at the earliest.

He said in order to ensure 100 percent screening of the general public at their doorsteps the district administration has also been conducting health screening/ medical camps in all blocks and screen public for various ailments including flu, anemia, TB and other viral infections.

Among others, the DC was accompanied by ADDC Budgam, Dr Akramullah Tak; ADC, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah; SE R&B, CPO, CMO, XEN R&B, MS District Hospital Budgam and other concerned officers.
