DC B’pora conducts comprehensive review of the overall functioning of Revenue Department

Impresses upon Revenue Officers to work with utmost efficiency & integrity

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 07: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ur Rehman on Wednesday convened a meeting of revenue officers/officials to conduct a comprehensive review of the overall functioning of the revenue department in the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Umar Shafi Pandit, ACR Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani, Sub Divisional Magistrates in virtual mode, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Girdawar, Qanoongos, Patwaris and other revenue officials.

The meeting discussed various revenue matters including Digitization of Jamabandis, Encroachment, PSGA Services, Issuance of Online Fard, e-Office up to Patwari Level, Pending Mutations, Land acquisition Cases, Allotment of land to landless, appointment of lambardars and chowkidars, relief cases, expenditure released for fencing and other revenue matters.

The meeting also discussed threadbare certification and freezing of Jamabandis in the district.

Regarding the digitization of Jamabandis, ACR Bandipora apprised the chair that Jamabandis have been digitized in all 124 villages of Bandipora out of which 80 have been locked and 43 freezed.

Giving details regarding eviction status of state and Kahcharai land, ACR informed that out of total 20925  kanals of encroached state land  area 13948 kanals have been evicted and 18331 kanals of kahcharai land have been evicted out of 20887 kanals encroached land area.

The meeting was informed that under the Public Service Guarantee Act, 62 mutations have been approved out of 140 mutations.

Regarding the issuance of online fards, it was stated that out of 1503 fards 1091 stand approved in Bandipora, 157 approved out of 224 in Aloosa, 16 fards approved  out of 29 in Ajas, 298  fards approved out of 391 in Hajin, 547 fards approved out of 713 in Sumbal and 43 fards have been approved out of 53 in Gurez.

It was given out in the meeting that out of 134 cases of 05 marlas land allotment, 114 cases stands approved and out of 33 relief cases 21 are under process and 12 have been  sent to SOP committee for verification

Reviewing the functioning of e-Office, the DC was apprised that e-Office is fully functional up to the patwari level in Aloosa Tehsil.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed upon all the revenue officers and officials to ensure that the revenue sector operates with utmost efficiency and integrity.

He directed all the concerned to make e-Office functional up to the patwari level in all Tehsils without further delay.

Shakeel Ur Rehman, on the occasion, emphasized upon field functionaries of the Revenue department to inform the public regarding their land records before the freezing of Jamabandis of any estate.

He said Jamadandis are a basic building block of revenue record and any lackadaisical approach while freezing Jamabandis may have serious consequences.

He further directed to identify land under land grants act for development of tourism infrastructure, education and health sector.

He assured full support to field functionaries of the revenue department in order to complete all revenue related works within set timelines.

The DC stressed upon revenue officials to meet the timeline of online services as per public Service Guarantee Act.
