Cyclothon organized under Mission Life in Ramban

RAMBAN, May 13: A cyclothon was organized by Forest Division Ramban, under the campaign MISSION LIFE here today. The cyclothon  was flagged off from District Administration Complex Ramban to Forest Complex by Deputy Commissioner (DC)  Mussarat Islam in presence of  President Municipal Council, Sunita Sharma; DFO, Dr. Rajan Singh; Chief Education, Dev Anand;  District Officer Pollution Committee,  Sanjay Rathore besides officials of forest, wildlife department and Municipal Council Ramban.

The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of implementation of the MISSION LIFE at the grassroots level to change the public behavior at individual and community level in synchronous with the Environment to bring down the harm done to the environment. He said the students can play a vital role in the proliferation of the campaign in the society.

The DFO said that MISSION LIFE campaign has been introduced by Prime Minister of India in the year 2021 in consonance to the global commitment to reduce the carbon emission by change in lifestyle and shifting to eco-friendly activities of daily routine like use of LED light, solar lights, jute bags for shopping, use of toilets, soak pits.

He further said that 75 individual life actions have been identified under the mission based on 7 themes. The Students from Ramban Pubic School and New Convent Institute participated in the said cycle rally.
