Copper futures gain on higher demand

New Delhi, Jun 22 (PTI) Copper prices on Thursday rose by 0.18 per cent to Rs 733.65 per kilogramme in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in June traded higher by Rs 1.35 or 0.18 per cent at Rs 733.65 per kg in a business turnover of 2,159 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to raising of bets by participants.
