Congress to file objections to  ULB ward rotations criteria

JAMMIU, September 5: Taking exception to certain irregularities & anomalies in the rotations of reserved/ unreserved wards in Municipal bodies, Congress has said that it shall file objections to the same, in accordance to the established procedure. . 

Reacting to the rotations of reserved wards in the Municipal corporation and the other Municipal bodies, where certain irregularities / anomalies are being pointed out and are beyond certain reasoning and rationality, JKPCC said that it shall examine the issue indepth and consult experts for filing objections before the election Commission. 

Last time too, there were certain anomalies which were detected and brought to the notice of the commission and at some places it was rectified. However the notification issued today evening, is yet to be examined in detail , for proceeding in the matter, adding that entire reservations for women, SC & STs in the Urban & rural PRIs is the result of the amendments carried out by Congress in coalition with PDP & NC, in order to extend, 73rd & 74th amendments of the Constitution. First time it was started in 2004 and further it’s scope was expanded tootoo, a PCC spokesperson said.
