CII and JKEDI to join Hands

Dr. MA Alim, Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Jammu & Kashmir, met with Mr. Khalid Jahangir, Secretary of the Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), in Jammu to address critical challenges faced by startups in the region and explore collaborative solutions.

The discussion centered on fostering a thriving startup culture by tackling issues such as limited access to funding, infrastructure gaps, and the need for skill development and mentorship. Both emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships to streamline regulatory processes, expand incubation support, and enhance market linkages for young entrepreneurs.

Dr. Alim highlighted CII’s commitment to advocating for policy reforms, organizing investor summits, and connecting startups with industry networks.

Moving forward, CII and JKEDI agreed to develop a joint action plan featuring workshops, policy advocacy campaigns, and investor engagement programs to strengthen the startup ecosystem.
