New Delhi [India], May 30 (ANI): BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari, on Friday, criticised Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, citing his response to the Pahalgam terror attack, calling him “casual leader and baalak buddhhi.”
While speaking to ANI, Bhandari contrasted Rahul Gandhi’s actions during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, where he was seen partying while the nation was in mourning, with his recent activities.
Bhandari accused Gandhi of having questionable priorities, suggesting that he is more interested in partying and practicing Jujutsu with Congress workers than addressing national concerns. He also criticised Gandhi for allegedly promoting narratives that favor Pakistan.
“Rahul Gandhi has been exposed in front of the world again… When Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi were running the government through a remote control… after 26/11 terror attack, Rahul Gandhi was found partying. Now that he is the Leader of Opposition (LoP), he was found practising Jujutsu with his party workers. This proves that: Rahul Gandhi is a casual leader; and his childish mentality continues,” Bhandari said.
Bhandari questioned Rahul Gandhi’s fitness for public life, stating that his actions and priorities make him unsuitable for leadership roles. He alleged that Gandhi’s actions align with Pakistan’s narrative, making him potentially more effective at promoting Pakistan’s interests than Pakistan itself.
“His priorities are to bat for Pakistan, promote Congress as the B team of Pakistan and that is why he promotes Jairam Ramesh to Udit Raj and makes Sanjay Raut call Operation Sindoor a failure. He himself either parties or trains in Jujutsu. This only points towards one thing that Rahul Gandhi is not fit to be in public life. He is fit for one thing, if there is anyone capable of furthering Pakistan’s narrative better than Pakistan – it is Rahul Gandhi…,” the BJP spokesperson added.
Earlier on Thursday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National spokesperson Guarav Bhatia condemned the “MPs are roaming around, terrorists are roaming around too” remarks by Congress leader Jairam Ramesh and said that the country sought to know whether Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge agree with what Jairam Ramesh said.
Speaking to ANI, Bhatia said, “What Jairam Ramesh said is condemnable and concerning. It puts all Indian citizens to shame that how an Indian leader can compare Indian MPs to terrorists. It won’t be wrong to say that after #OperationSindoor, the sole attempt of Lashkar-e-Pakistan Congress, at the behest of Nishan-e-Pakistan Rahul Gandhi has been to see how the successful initiatives by Narendra Modi-Government be weakned internally while being in India. This is another attempt in the same series. He questioned, “I would like to ask Jairam Ramesh, all-party delegation of our MPs which has gone abroad and is presenting India’s side strongly by rising above bipartisan politics, should these MPs be compared to terrorists?”
The BJP leader accused the Congress of weakening the country.
Congress leader and the party’s General Secretary (Communication), Jairam Ramesh, took a jibe at the Central government for sending out parliamentarians across the world while the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack are “roaming around.”
“It has been a month since the Pahalgam attack on April 22. Today, those terrorists are roaming around. They had a role in the December 2023 Poonch terror attack; the Ganderbal attack in October 2024; and in the same month, another attack took place–they had their role in that too. This means that the Pahalgam terrorists are responsible for four attacks in 18 months, and they are roaming around. Our MPs are roaming around, and our terrorists are roaming around too,” Ramesh told ANI here.
Seven groups of MPs have been sent to various countries to present India’s stance against terrorism and expose Pakistan’s links to it. The delegation of MPs is meeting various political leaders, think tanks and the Indian diaspora in various countries. (ANI)
