Book Launch: “Beyond 370” Jammu and Kashmir- Spread Its Wings

JAMMU: The event called ‘Beyond 370 Jammu and Kashmir Spread Its Wings’ was organized at Government Women’s College Parade Ground Jammu on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, focusing on post 370 abrogation developments in Jammu and Kashmir.

The event saw the presence of and thoughts shared by Kunwarani Ritu Singh, a catalyst for change and pioneer in education and women empowerment, Tribal Social Worker and Researcher Shri Javaid Rahi, Director of Jammu and Kashmir Study Circle Dr. Ashutosh Bhatnagar, Founder Secretary of Aditi Pratishthan Ms. Mamta Singh, President of Sarveshwar Group Shri Rohit Gupta, and Historian of Art and Culture Shri Lalit Gupta. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp.

This book is centered on the development programs in Jammu and Kashmir after the ineffective Article 370 and is written based on field research and facts.

Kunwarani Ritu Singh mentioned that due to Article 370, the women of Jammu and Kashmir were not getting their rights, and the removal of this article is a significant step towards women’s empowerment in Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Modi deserves congratulations for this.

In her editorial introduction, Professor Aggarwal said that Article 370 prevented Mother India from wearing her crown, which had always bothered her. After Article 370 became ineffective in August 2019, a path to peace is being paved in Jammu and Kashmir, and the release of this book is timely.

The President of the Jammu and Kashmir Study Center, Shri Ashutosh Bhatnagar, said that due to the Article 370 rendered ineffective, Jammu and Kashmir has been truly integrated in India’s mainstream.

Mamta Singh shed light on the issues faced by women in border areas in her speech.

At the launch of this book, many esteemed guests including Shri Annil Suri, Former President of Bari Brahmna Industrial Association Jammu, Shri Avinash Senior-Faculty GCW Parade Jammu, Shri Rahul Ramesh Bhosale from Indian Archaeological Survey, Shri Rajiv Ranjan from JK Study Center, and Senior Engineer Shri Suman Raj Shukla were present.
