BJP Mahila Morcha celebrates International Yoga Day at Zanana Park, Jammu

Jammu, 20 June 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha, under the leadership of its State President Sanjita Dogra, celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm at Zanana Park, Kachi Chawni. This year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” reflects the universal relevance of yoga in promoting global well-being and harmony.

Addressing the gathering, Sanjita Dogra highlighted the significance of yoga as a timeless gift from India’s rich cultural heritage. “Yoga is not just a physical practice but a holistic approach to health and life. It unites body and mind, thought and action, discipline and satisfaction. In today’s fast-paced world, yoga strengthens our immunity and helps us combat stress and anxiety. It is the key to leading a balanced, healthy life,” she said.

Rajni Sethi, J&K BJP Spokesperson, lauded the growing global interest in yoga, stating, “It is heartening to see people across the world embracing yoga as a daily discipline. In Jammu & Kashmir too, we see numerous organizations and trained instructors promoting this ancient practice.” She also extended heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary leadership in establishing International Yoga Day as a global observance.

Neha Mahajan, General Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha, played a key role in the smooth conduct of the event. She remarked, “Yoga is the fountain of youth. It calms the mind, opens the heart, and helps us connect with our inner self. It teaches us to flow with life, free from ego, and in alignment with universal wisdom.”

Offering the vote of thanks, Reema Padha, also General Secretary, emphasized, “Yoga is a journey of self-discovery. It enables personal growth and transformation, helping individuals tap into their true potential and live with purpose and awareness.”

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from several dignitaries and members of the Mahila Morcha, including Rajni (Yoga Instructor), Neena Gupta (Former Corporator), Asha, Savita Anand, Poonam Gupta (Social Media Incharge), Santosh Gupta, Anita Gandotra, among others.
