BJP leadership visits shelling-hit Chamb & Akhnoor, assures swift relief and security
Jammu, 18 May 2025: J&K BJP leadership led by its President Sat Sharma, visited several shelling affected villages and listened to the problems of the people in Kharah Balli, Panjtooth Pallanwala, Kot Maira, Pahariwala, Naraina areas of Khour under Chhamb Assembly Constituency, and Nai Basti, NarsinghPura, Garkhal, and Bhalwal Parth of Pargwal Mandal under Akhnoor Assembly Constituency.

Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, BJP National Secretary and MLA Dr. Narendra Singh, Vice President and MLA Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat, DDC Vice-Chairperson Suraj Singh, former MLAs Rajiv Sharma & Dr. Krishan, DDCs Bhushan Bral, Suresh Sharma, & Sharda Bhau, Prabhari Brijeshwar Rana, District President Kuldeep Sharma and other senior leaders of the party accompanied BJP President during the tour.

Senior BJP leadership, besides interacting with the people at the ground level, conducted back-to-back public meetings.
Senior BJP leadership also joined the Tiranga Rally in Pargwal area of Akhnoor to honour the sacrifices and bravery of brave Indian Forces. The Tiranga Yatra was organized by the Civilians for National Security, Akhnoor.
Sat Sharma, lauding, the brave Indian forces who gave befitting reply to the Pakistan’s bewildered aggression, said that the Indian forces meticulously and professionally proved the India’s might and made it very clear that India won’t tolerate any misadventure risking the lives of innocent Indian nationals.
Sat Sharma assured the people that the Modi government and the BJP family stand like a rock with them. He further said that the party leadership will advocate for the quick disbursal of claims, and all the needed infrastructure for the civilians to lead their lives with dignity and security.
Sunil Sharma highlighted the commitment of the Central Government to establishing lasting peace in the region. Referring to ‘Operation Sindoor’, he said the action had sent a strong message globally that India stands resolute in defending its peace and sovereignty.
Jugal Kishore Sharma strongly condemned Pakistan’s targeting of civilians and assured the affected families that the government is committed to timely relief, and compensation for damaged property.
Dr. Narinder Singh reiterated BJP’s ‘Nation First’ ideology and stated that the New India has both the capacity and the will to act decisively against any threat.
Sham Lal Sharma assured the public that the BJP leadership is closely monitoring the situation and is actively involved in relief, rehabilitation, and long-term development efforts in the affected villages.
Mohan Lal Bhagat appreciated the people living in these villages, and acknowledged their determination in facing difficulties, as well as the strong sense of patriotism they displayed. He admired their consistent and heartfelt support for the Indian Armed Forces.
