BJP leaders visit families of martyred, express solidarity and condolences
Jammu, 12 May 2025: Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP accompanied by Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition and other senior leaders visited Trewa, and Kheri Villages of Jammu District, to meet the families of martyr Rifleman Sunil Kumar, and martyr Zakir Hussain who were killed during unwarranted firing and shelling by Pakistan, in Jammu.

The BJP delegation offered heartfelt condolences and expressed unwavering support to the bereaved families.
MLAs Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal (General Secretary, J&K BJP), Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, and Dr. Rajiv Bhagat, District Presidents Nand Kishore Sharma and Rinku Choudhary, former Dy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria, and other senior leaders were present on the occasion.
While expressing solidarity with the martyrs, Sat Sharma emphasized the significance of martyrdom, stating, “A martyr does not belong to one family alone; he is a symbol of national pride and collective sacrifice. Bharat has the strength and resolve to protect its people. The nefarious attempts by hostile forces to disrupt peace and endanger lives have been countered with an iron fist. Our government remains vigilant and committed to ensuring peace and security across the region.”
Sunil Sharma reiterated the BJP’s solidarity with the families, stating, “The entire BJP family stands united with the near and dear ones of the martyrs. We pray to the Almighty to grant Moksha to the brave souls and strength to their families in this hour of grief.”
Expressing deep emotion, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal said, “We enjoy the comfort of our homes because our soldiers endure discomfort, isolation, and risk for our safety. Their sacrifices are beyond measure.”
Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat in his interaction with Rifleman Sunil Kumar’s family, added, “A soldier never truly dies; his spirit lives on in the heart of every citizen.”
Dr. Rajiv Bhagat expressed solidarity with the family of rifleman Sunil Kumar and said that the whole nation stands with them and assured all possible support.
