Big jolt to PDP, Arshad Mehmood joins BJP

PDP got a big jolt, when its senior leader from Nowshera Assembly Constituency, Arshad Mehmood alongwith his hundreds of supporters joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

BJP President Ravinder Raina accompanied by MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy. Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, former Minister Sat Sharma, BJP General Secretary Adv. Vibodh Gupta and other senior leaders welcomed the new entrants into the party.

Ravinder Raina welcomed Arshad Mehmood alongwith his supporters and praised him for his consistent selfless work for the region and the common masses.

Raina said that Arshad Mehmood had contested the election for the MLA seat on the PDP mandate in 2008. He said that Arshad Mehmood has dedicatedly served the people in his political career as Sarpanch and is known for his good credentials in society. He, mesmerized by the Modi ji’s public welfare policies, has now decided to serve the society and the nation as a sincere worker of BJP.

“PM Modi-led government is committed to the public welfare. It has ensured benefits of public welfare schemes to the poor and needy people for their upliftment”, said Ravinder Raina.

Jugal Kishore Sharma, welcoming the new entrants emphasized that in Jammu Kashmir the welfare of all sections of society is on the lines of sabka sath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas sabka paryas. He said that the agenda of PM Modi led government to do welfare of all without any discrimination based on caste, color, religion, or gender.

Sat Sharma said the gates of BJP are open for all those who want to serve the people and strive hard to strengthen the nationalist forces and the country.

Vibodh Gupta said that the BJP is growing stronger with each passing day as people from all walks of life are reposing faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programmes and policies.
