Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week: Awareness cum Grievance/ Complaint Redressal programs held across Bandipora

BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 05: In continuation to ongoing ‘Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week’ to combat corruption and promote transparency, various departments across the district organised different activities including awareness camps, oath ceremonies, door to campaigns besides on spot redressal of problems.

On the second day of the week, various departments, including PDD, RDD, Jal Shakti, Revenue department organized awareness programs, workshops, grievance redressal camps, interactive sessions to educate the public about the detrimental effects of corruption and the importance of reporting corrupt practices.

These events were held at multiple locations across the district, including Block Aloosa, Arin, Baktoor, Bandipora, Bonakoot, Ganastan, Gurez, Hajin, Naidkhai, Nowgam, Sumbal and Tulail, ensuring accessibility for all residents.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais while emphasizing the importance of the campaign, said that the Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week is a vital step towards eliminating corruption from the roots. We encourage every citizen to participate actively in these programs, help identify corruption hotspots and be part of the solution, he added.

The DC urged people to participate in the ongoing campaign against corruption by attending the various events and utilizing the Grievance and Complaint Redressal Camps. He further said that together, we can make Bandipora a model of transparency, accountability and integrity.

PDD Department Bandipora established Grievance and Complaint Redressal Camp at Ajar Electric Sub Division. During the camp, a large number of people visited the camp and recorded their grievances and issues faced. Executive Engineer PDD on the occasion said that under the Amnesty Scheme, a number of cases were resolved on the spot across different camps organised by the department.

The Department of Jal Shakti conducted special Pani Samiti meetings in different panchayats of the district. During the Samitis, people raised different issues related to drinking water. People were also informed regarding various online services available to discourage the chances of corruption.

Rural Development Department Bandipora also held different awareness camps across the district.

Grievance Redressal camps across different panchayats of the district were also held by the Revenue Department. During which issues related to land, documentation besides domicile certificates were solved on spot.

Bhrashtachar Mukt Awareness programmes were also conducted by MC Bandipora, MC Hajin and MC Sumbal in different wards. Pamphlets to educate people regarding the menace of corruption were also distributed on the occasion.

Awareness regarding e-Unnat portal was also imparted by various departments. People were informed that they need not to physically visit government offices. Instead, with the help of e-Unnat Wen Portal, they can access all the schemes available within the government departments.
