Bhaderwah: Public outreach, grievances redressal camp held to address VDG, community issues

DODA, MAY 24: A public outreach and grievances redressal camp was organized today at Malani, Manthla under the chairmanship of District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sandeep Mehta.

The program witnessed active participation from Village Defence Group (VDG) members of adjoining panchayats, who presented a range of issues and concerns before the officials.

The event was attended by Additional SP Bhaderwah Vinod Sharma, ex-sarpanchs, prominent local leaders, and a large gathering of residents. The primary aim of the program was to strengthen coordination between law enforcement agencies and the local community, and to address grassroots-level grievances effectively.

Key issues highlighted by the VDG members included the timely disbursement of honorarium, provision and maintenance of weapons, and the need for structured training and support. Officials assured that all grievances raised during the camp would be forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt and time-bound resolution.

The outreach initiative also served as a platform for enhancing trust and cooperation between the public and security agencies, especially in sensitive and remote areas. The DDC Chairman and SSP reiterated their commitment to improving public service delivery, ensuring local safety, and promoting responsive governance at the village level.
