Baru reviews ongoing smart city works at main road Talab Tillo

JAMMU, Jan 07: BJP Senior leader and JMC Councillor reviews Smart City project’s ongoing construction of footpath and deep drain at main road TalabTillo during the tour along with Smart City Project’s AEE Ravi Salgotra, JEs and JMC officials.

During the tour, Baru pressed Smart City Project officials for proper cleaning and repair of deep drain before the construction of footpath at main road Talab Tillo from Luthra Public School to Patta Chungi chowk.

Local shopkeepers requested Councillor for early completion of this project during his intensive tour of area.

Sanjay Baru appealed local shopkeepers that these footpaths being constructed under the smart city project must be kept free to walk. He also requested them to not to keep their belongings on the footpaths as well as educate others to make them encroachment free to prevent any future loss in anti-encroachment drives..

This work of construction of footpath on both sides of main road Talab Tillo from Patta Chungi to Jewel Chowk will be completed an estimate cost of Rs 20.00 Crores (Rupees Twenty Crore) executed under Smart City Project from Patta Chungi to Jewel Chowk. He added that after the completion of footpaths, fancy lights on them will be installed which would be followed by the complete makeover of the road.

Baru also strongly taken up the grievances of Shopkeepers regarding the long traffic jams at road due to haphazard dumping of construction material on the sides of main road for days and months.

Accompanying officials listening the grievances of the locals and the points raised by Councillor patiently, assured that all the projected issues will be addressed and the works will be executed with caution keeping in view the public welfare.
