B2V-5: Administrator, Associated Hospital, GMC Srinagar visits Panchayat Halqa Keegam, Shopian

Assesses developmental scenario of the panchayats, held meetings

SHOPIAN, November 13: The Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Government Medical College, Srinagar, Hashmat Ali Yatoo today visited Panchayat Halqa Keegam of district Shopian as Visiting Officer, to take first hand appraisal of public issues under the Back to Village- 5.     

He interacted with people, PRIs, field  functionaries of departments and took stock of the developmental scenario of the Panchayat along with making assessment of the government interventions in the said panchayat. 

 He also took stock of the developmental works taken up in the Panchayat under different schemes and inspected the functioning of the government  institutions.   

 He said that the aim of conducting the programme is to understand the issues of the public and to have appraisal of their genuine issues for early redressal.   

The Visiting Officer also administered the pledge to the participants in the presence of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz on “Nasha Mukt Bharat” to show a resolve and  commit to a  drugs free  society.  

The officer shall be on a two day visit to the panchayat and will make an assessment of making the Panchayat vibrant in socio-economic parameters and a model of development.
