Awareness progs held in Srinagar under  End Plastic Pollution-initiative

SRINAGAR  JUNE 03: Following the directions of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, Social Forestry Department organized several environment awareness programmes in the City parts by launching  Anti-Polythene, Anti-Plastic and cleanliness drives in Cheshma Shahi area and Hyderpora Block of the Social Forestry Department.

The events were aimed to highlight the hazardous impacts of plastic waste on the environment and human health, and to encourage sustainable practices among the people to combat this growing menace.

Pledge taking ceremonies were also organized, during which participants and staff of the  Social Forestry Department took  part with great enthusiasm and promised to reduce the use of  plastic and keep the environment clean.
