Awareness programme for Women voters under SVEEP held at Ramban

RAMBAN, APRIL 04: The Election Department Ramban, led by District Election Officer, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, today organized an awareness programme for women voters here under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative.

The programme, tailored for women voters and Anganwadi staff, aimed to empower them with essential knowledge about Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines, crucial tools in the electoral process.

Under the supervision of Nodal Officer for Women Awareness and Welfare AC-54, Ravinder Kour, the programme focused on imparting operational skills and troubleshooting techniques related to EVMs and VVPATs.

By equipping women with this vital understanding, the Election Department Ramban reaffirms its commitment to ensure  integrity of  electoral process.  With the General Election Lok Sabha scheduled for April 19, 2024, for the 04-Udhampur constituency, the Election Department Ramban remains resolute in its mission to enhance voter education and engagement, thereby strengthening democracy at its grassroots.
