Awareness prog. on Pension Suvidha Portal held for DDOs at Kulgam

KULGAM JUNE 21: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan Saturday presided over an awareness programme on the ‘Pension Suvidha Portal’ digital system organized by department of Finance (Accounts and Treasuries) at the conference hall of mini-secretariat Kulgam.

The session aimed to familiarize Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of district Kulgam with the functionalities of the integrated Pension Suvidha portal for ensuring timely and transparent processing of pensions and other retirement benefits of retiring government employees through the digital mode.

In his address, DC emphasized the significance of e-governance interventions such as the Pension Suvidha portal in easing the process of submitting retirement cases of the government officials.

He urged all stakeholders to fully utilize the system to enhance efficiency and improve the pension processing timeline.

NIC expert informed the audience regarding the processing of pension cases from retiring employee login to DDO/PSA login through digital mode.

He gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the features, functionality, and operational workflow of the Pension Suvidha Portal.

The training session was a part of ongoing training programmes organized by the Finance Department (Accounts & Treasuries) across the UT of J&K.

The event concluded with an interactive session of discussion, during which participants provided feedback, raised queries, and explored the system’s benefits and potential challenges.

Among others, the programme was attended by ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri; Treasury Officers of Sub-Treasuries Kulgam, DDOs of different departments, Accountants and cashiers of different Treasuries and departments.
