Aspirational Block Programme: Sankalp Saptah Health Melas held across Marwah block  

KISHTWAR, October 04: The Aspirational Block programme in Marwah received a major boost today as a series of health-related services and activities were held there under the ongoing Sankalp Saptah initiative. A series of Health Camps were organized with the theme “Sampoorna Swastha” on the day one of the week long programme.

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 30, the week-long Sankalp Saptah (October 3rd to October 9th, 2023) aims to enhance governance and elevate the quality of life in Aspirational Blocks.

On the day first, the Health Services department, in collaboration with NHM and under the supervision of CMO, Dr. M Y Mir, along with BMO Marwah Dr Krishan Singh Katoch, orchestrated series of Mega Health Camps/Melas across Marwah block viz at CHC Marwah, HWC Youdru, NTPHC Chanjer, NTPC Qaderna and HWC Reenie,HWC Tekar and Hanzal of  Marwah Block, aligning with the theme of “Sampoorna Swastha.”

The aim was to comprehensively address key performance indicators in the health sector of Marwah Block. The focus was on achieving saturation, ensuring that all vital metrics and benchmarks were not only met but exceeded, reflecting a robust and all-encompassing impact. The initiative sought to leave no aspect unattended, creating a thorough and positive influence on health-related indices. Through strategic planning and meticulous execution, the objective was not merely to fulfill targets but to establish a sustained and elevated standard of health services within the Marwah Block, setting a benchmark for excellence in the broader context of community well-being.

The events saw active community engagement with 15 registrations for Ayushman Cards, 12 registrations for ABHS ID cards, screening for 235 cases of hypertension and 230 cases of diabetes, 28 ANC clinics, 1 immunization session, 168 anemia test and treatment clinics, 8 presumptive TB screenings, and a noteworthy Nikshaya Mitra felicitation at different locations.

The highlight was a TB Champion Rallies that garnered significant participation, with a total of 385 community members taking part and moving from one centre to other.

Besides the local PRIs, ASHAs, AWWs, Staff of the Health Department played a pivotal role in the resounding success of today’s Sampooran Swastha initiative in the said Aspirational Block.

This initiative underscores the commitment to holistic health and marks a significant stride towards achieving comprehensive well-being in the Aspirational Block of Marwah.
