Ashok Koul stresses ground-level outreach; Yoga Diwas, Dr Mookherjee Punya Tithi & Black Day observance
BJP Doda holds review meeting on ‘Viksit Bharat Ka Amritkaal – 11 Saal of Sewa, Sushasan, Gareeb Kalyan’ Abhiyan
Doda, 20 June 2025: A comprehensive review meeting regarding the ongoing ‘Viksit Bharat Ka Amritkaal – Sewa, Sushasan, Gareeb Kalyan Ke 11 Saal’ Abhiyan was convened today at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District Office in Doda. The meeting was chaired by BJP District President Babu Ram Sharma and led by J&K BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul.

The meeting saw the active participation of DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal, District Prabhari Pawan Sharma, District General Secretary Sanjay Saraf, Ashok Kumar, Rakesh Sharma, Administrator WAQF Board Doda Javed Zargar Mandal presidents, Morcha heads, and other office bearers of the district unit.
Ashok Koul took stock of all the programmes held so far under the Abhiyan in the district and emphasized the importance of meaningful public connect in showcasing the BJP-led Central Government’s unprecedented achievements over the last 11 years. “The Abhiyan is not just a celebration but a reaffirmation of our commitment to serve the poorest of the poor. Every booth worker, every activist must ensure that the message of good governance, inclusive development, and transparent delivery reaches the last mile,” said Koul.
He further briefed the cadre about the upcoming key programmes including Yoga Diwas on 21st June, Punya Tithi of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee on 23rd June, and the observance of Black Day on 25th June, marking the anniversary of the imposition of Emergency in 1975. He urged all leaders to ensure widespread participation and to organize these events with due solemnity and awareness-building among the public.
Dhananter Singh Kotwal reiterated the significance of taking welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, and Jal Jeevan Mission to every beneficiary. “Our duty is to not just implement but to make people aware of their rights and entitlements under the Modi Government’s schemes,” he said.
Pawan Sharma highlighted the role of organizational discipline and coordination. “The strength of BJP lies in its disciplined cadre. Through this Abhiyan, we must reflect the values of our party from booth to top leadership in action and results,” he added.
Babu Ram Sharma, in his address, thanked Ashok Koul for his guidance and said that the district unit is fully geared to take the Abhiyan to every Panchayat, ward, and household. “We are committed to not just reviewing but reinvigorating our outreach efforts based on feedback and performance evaluation,” he stated.
