Ashok Koul emphasizes role of BJP cadre in national service in an organizational meeting

Jammu, 12 May 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir led by its General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul held an organizational meeting at its party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

The meeting was convened to deliberate on the current security scenario in the region and its societal impact in light of the recent aggression by Pakistan and India’s strong and effective response.

Prominent party leaders present at the meeting included DDC Chairperson Bharat Bhushan, MLA Arvind Gupta, former Minister Bali Bhagat, J&K BJP Secretary Veenu Khanna, Treasurer Prabhat Singh Jamwal, Rakesh Mahajan, Balbir Ram Rattan, Sunil Prajapati, Ved Sharma, Basant Raj Thakur, Parduman Singh, Reema Padha, and several other senior leaders.

In his address, Ashok Koul expressed deep anguish over the damage inflicted on civilians due to irrational firing and shelling from across the border and discussed the implications of recent ceasefire.

Koul lauded the Indian Armed Forces for their prompt and powerful retaliation, which sent a clear and decisive message to the rogue nation. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has made it abundantly clear that any act of terrorism will henceforth be treated as an act of war and will evoke a proportionate and effective response.

Highlighting the role of BJP cadre in such challenging times, Koul urged all party workers to rise to the occasion and extend full support to the affected people and the administration. “This is the time when the commitment of every activist to the nation and society is tested. We must be on the ground, helping the needy, whether through food distribution, shelter support, or organizing blood donation camps. The people look up to us not just as a political party but as a social force,” he said.

Koul stressed the need for vigilance among the cadre and the community at large. He called upon the workers to assist the administration in maintaining peace, law, and order, and to report any suspicious activities in their localities.

“This is not the time to be spectators, we must be active contributors in every possible way. Our nation needs us, and we must not fail in our duty,” Koul concluded.
