Aseem Gupta, Bharat Bhushan, Mohan Lal Bhagat Highlights BJP’s Commitment to Ambedkar’s Ideals
Jammu, 29th April 2025: As part of the B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti Pakhwada celebrations, a grand program was organized today under the presidentship of District President Jammu North, Nand Kishore Sharma. The event witnessed prominent leaders paying rich tributes to the architect of the Indian Constitution.

The main speaker, Aseem Gupta, Vice-President of BJP Jammu and Kashmir (UT), in his address, emphasized the timeless relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision for social justice and equality. He said, “Dr. Ambedkar’s message of empowerment and unity continues to guide the BJP in its mission to build an inclusive society.” Gupta called upon party workers to take inspiration from Ambedkar’s life and work tirelessly for the upliftment of marginalized sections.
MLA Akhnoor, Mohan Lal Bhagat, while offering heartfelt tributes to Dr. Ambedkar, highlighted that it is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which has consistently upheld and promoted Ambedkar’s values. “From implementing constitutional rights to empowering the underprivileged, BJP remains committed to Ambedkar’s dream of a strong, united India,” he stated.
District President Nand Kishore Sharma spoke about the importance of educating the younger generation about Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions. “It is our responsibility to carry forward the ideals of social harmony, equality, and justice that Ambedkar stood for. The BJP is committed to this cause,” Sharma said, encouraging party workers to organize similar programs at the grassroots level.
DDC Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bhushan, also addressed the gathering, highlighting how the policies of the BJP-led government are inspired by Ambedkar’s vision. “Schemes like Stand-Up India, Mudra Yojana, and constitutional amendments for social justice reflect our commitment to Ambedkar’s principles,” he said. Bharat Bhushan also called upon youth to study Ambedkar’s life to understand the true spirit of democracy and social reform.
The program was also graced by senior BJP leaders including Karan Singh, Omi Khajuria, and Rajinder Singh.
District General Secretaries Raveesh Mengi and Bhubnesh Mehta, along with Gulshan Bhagat, Vaishno Devi, and other prominent workers, were present and participated actively in the event.
The gathering concluded with a renewed pledge to continue working for social harmony, equality, and empowerment in line with Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals.
