ARTO Rajouri conducts enforcement drive on Kotranka-Budhal Road
RAJOURI, MAY 28: On the directions of the Transport Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan and Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajesh Gupta, today conducted an extensive enforcement drive on the Koteranka-Budhal route. The drive aimed to ensure adherence to traffic regulations and promote road safety in the region.

During the operation, a total of 15 vehicles were challaned for various violations of the Motor Vehicle Act, with the expected fine amounting to approximately Rs. 40,000. Notably, two school buses, two Ecco taxis and one minibus were seized for serious infractions.
The drive was conducted with the support of Motor Vehicle Inspector Rahul Singh and other officials from the department.
ARTO emphasized the department’s commitment to ensuring the safety of commuters and strict enforcement of traffic rules. He further cautioned transporters and vehicle owners to comply with safety norms and avoid any lapses that could endanger lives.
