Anti-drug rally organised by District Police Jammu at Domana

JAMMU, March 29: An Anti-drug rally was organised today by the District Police Jammu (Sub-division Domana) to raise awareness about the drug menace.

The rally was flagged off by District Development Council Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bhushan.

The rally was attended by a gathering of around 350 people, including youth, who were briefed on the issue.

Block Development Council Marh, Surinder Kumar; Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu (ADM), Sandeep Seointra, Superintendent of Police Rural Jammu, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Domana, Station House Officer Kanachak and Station House Officer Domana along with other officials were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC Chairman said, “it is our collective responsibility to fight against the drug menace and protect our youth. We must come together as a community to raise awareness and provide support to those in need.”

Other officials also emphasised the importance of staying away from drugs and leading a healthy lifestyle. They encouraged the youth to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and to support their peers in making positive choices.

The rally started from Higher Secondary School Domana and culminated at Shri Jagdamba Banquet Hall in Purkho. Refreshments were distributed among students and volunteers.
