Alumni Meet 2023 ‘Reminiscences’ held at SPMR

JAMMU, May 30: Government Sri Pratap Memorial Rajput College of Commerce, Jammu on Tuesday organised Alumni Meet 2023 “Reminiscences” (an initiative of IQAC) on the College Campus, which brought together former students from all over the UT.

The event aimed to connect alumni members, share their professional and personal experiences and to foster a stronger relationship with their alma mater.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Monika Malhotra, Coordinator IQAC. In her welcome address, she highlighted that the reunion will serve as a platform for alumni members to network, reconnect with former classmates and engage with the college faculty.

Principal, Dr Surinder Kumar presided over the event. He accentuated on the value of maintaining strong connections with former students, and the benefits they can bring to the college community. He exuded confidence that connect between alumni and their alma mater will go a long way.

Prof. Rakesh Gupta, Prof. Lalit Gaind,  N K Suri (1971 Batch),  Jagbir,  Vijay Singh Slathia,  Suresh Singh were among the Alumni present on the occasion.

They shared their experiences, highlighting how the college had contributed significantly to their development. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Rakesh Gupta talked about role of teacher and Prof. Lalit Gaind shared his experiences in the college as student and faculty of the esteemed college.

The students of the college mesmerized the audience with their vibrant musical performance. The faculty members present on the occasion were Prof. Barbara Kaul, Prof. Savita Jamwal, Dr. Parveen Singh, Prof Ashu Manhas, Prof. Shreya Sharma, Dr. Prof. Charandeep, Dr. Deepak Pathania, Dr. Fayza, Dr. Sarabjeet Kour Sudan, Dr. Shipra Gupta, Prof. Rishu Mahajan, Dr. Roomi and Prof. Rajni Bala.  Abdul Majid provided the necessary non technical support. The entire event was coordinated and managed by Dr. Monika Malhotra, Convener Alumni Committee. The proceedings of the event were conducted by Prof. Apfan Ali and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Jagmeet Kaur.
