Activities under anti-drug IEC Campaign reviewed in Doda

DODA, JUNE 05:   Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anil Kumar Thakur today chaired a detailed review meeting to assess the progress of the ongoing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign against drug abuse in the district.

Representatives from the Health Department, Youth Services & Sports Department, ICDS, Excise Department, Rural Development Department, NRLM and Police Department—who are actively involved in the implementation of the campaign attended the meeting.

The ADC emphasized the importance of community involvement for the success of government-led initiatives. He urged all departments to intensify awareness activities at the grassroots level and adopt a multi-pronged media strategy—encompassing print, digital, and traditional platforms—to effectively reach every segment of the population.

He also stressed the need for enhanced inter-departmental coordination to monitor the campaign’s impact and implement necessary improvements.

  Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Mushraf Haff; District Social Welfare Officer, Tariq Qazi (who also serves as the Nodal Officer for the IEC initiative); Chief Education Officer, Mohd Hafiz and Excise & Taxation Officer also attended the meeting .
