ACR reviews implementation of E-Waste Management Action Plan in Kishtwar District

KISHTWAR, MAY 08: Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Idrees Lone today convened a meeting to review the implementation of the E-Waste (Management) Action Plan in the District.

The meeting was attended by CMO Dr. Rajinder Kumar; Divisional Officer Pollution Control Committee Dr. Mohan Lal Sneh and representatives from major power projects such as Pakal Dul and Kwar HEP, among other Stakeholders.

Stress was laid on scientific disposal of electronic waste and strict adherence to the notified guidelines by the stakeholder departments.

The ACR underscored the need for generating awareness among the general public, including shopkeepers, project workers, and other community members, about the hazards of improper e-waste disposal and the correct methods of handling it.

The stakeholders were asked to compile a comprehensive inventory of all e-waste generated within their respective domains and ensure its submission to authorized agencies only, avoiding any unauthorized disposal practices.
