ACD reviews development activities in Block Gundana
Inspects functioning of Govt schools as Prabhari Officer
DODA, MAY 21: Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Manoj Kumar today reviewed progress of developmental works and implementation of the rural development schemes in Block Gundana.
Chairing a meeting with the local officials, he assessed the implementation MGNREGA, Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), and other Panchayati Raj schemes. The ACD sought detailed reports from concerned officials and directed them to ensure the timely completion of all ongoing projects while adhering to the prescribed guidelines.
The meeting was attended by field-level workers and Panchayat representatives, who shared ground-level updates and implementation challenges.
The ACD issued showcause notices to several officials who were found absent from duty without prior intimation. He warned that such negligence would not be tolerated and that repeated instances of indiscipline would attract strict action. He reiterated the importance of field presence and proactive engagement by all functionaries to drive rural development effectively.
Later, he conducted on the spot inspection of developmental works and expressed satisfaction over the progress and encouraged the team to continue their efforts with the same dedication.
Later, the ACD visited Government Higher Secondary School Jatheli and Government High School Dhara as the Prabhari Officer under the government’s school monitoring initiative.
He interacted with the students and staff of the twin institutions, emphasizing the importance of discipline, punctuality and the need to focus on both academics and co-curricular activities for overall personality development of children.
The ACD also reviewed the functioning of the schools, checked infrastructure, and took note of various needs and concerns raised by the staff. He assured the teaching faculty that genuine issues will be addressed on priority to ensure a better learning environment for the students.
