Crime branch spreads awareness on new criminal laws at Chhinj Mela in Bishnah, SSP Benam Tosh delivers key lecture

JAMMU : The Crime Branch created awareness among masses regarding new criminal laws, viz. Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita-2023 & Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-2023 and as part of the programme, Senior Superintendent of Police Crime Jammu Benam Tosh delivered comprehensive lecture on NCL in mega ‘Chhinj Mela’ at Kothe Sainia Bishnah, Jammu.

A large number of people drawn from all walks of life including women, senior citizens, children and social activists gathered together at ‘Chhinj Mela’ site were sensitized about the important provisions of new criminal laws which have bearing on the lives of the common people, especially those provisions which are essential for the maintenance of the order in the society in general and beneficial for women, senior citizens & students in particular. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included noted social activist Jatinder Singh Saini, Captain Tarsem Lal, Sub Divisional Officer Agri. (Retd.) Kuldeep Saini, Subedar Balwant Raj, Subedar Sardari Singh, Social activists Chanchala Devi, Bhajan Kanta, Sushma Devi and Darshana Devi.
