Day 4 of DA-JGUA: Public services delivered at doorsteps in panchayat Ladden in Budgam

BUDGAM, JUNE 18: On day-four of the ongoing Dharti Aabha Abhiyan, all line departments participated in the Gram Sabha held at tribal panchayat Ladden in Block Nagam, to achieve cent percent saturation across 25 sector schemes.

Field functionaries at the tehsil and block levels engaged with the local community, sensitizing them about the diverse government welfare schemes, particularly those designed for the benefit of the tribal population. The initiative was widely welcomed by the residents, who actively participated and interacted with departmental representatives.

The event recorded a significant turnout and witnessed a surge in enrolment for various government schemes. Special health camps were set up to conduct basic diagnostic services and health awareness sessions. Alongside, awareness regarding Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) schemes, use of Water Testing Kits, and procedures for PMAY-G registrations was also imparted to the attendees.

Departments also facilitated registration and verification under key schemes including Jal Jeevan Mission – Functional Household Tap Connection (JJM-FHTC), MGNREGA job cards, and PM Ujjwala Yojana. Eligible beneficiaries were guided and assisted on-the-spot to ensure real-time coverage under the respective schemes.

The outreach under Dharti Aabha Abhiyan continues to bridge the information and access gap between citizens and the governance machinery, especially in rural and tribal-dominated areas.
