FMD Vaccination campaign launched under NADP- FMD-CP by Animal Husbandry Kashmir

SRINAGAR, JUNE 16: Department of Animal Husbandry Kashmir today flagged-off the 6th round of the FMD Vaccination Campaign from the Directorate of Animal Husbandry Kashmir.

The campaign was launched under the directions of the Director, Animal Husbandry department Kashmir, and was attended by the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Srinagar, Deputy Director Poultry, DIO Sgr, BVO Sgr/Batpora, LDO Nowgam, and Extension Officer Publicity Wing, Srinagar.

Furthermore, the vaccination drive was simultaneously successfully launched in all districts of Kashmir.

On this occasion, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Srinagar, DDP, and other officers highlighted the importance of timely vaccination for prevention, control and eradication of FMD under NADCP, as it aims to control the FMD by 2025 and eradicate it by 2030.

FMD Vaccination is conducted free of cost under NADCP.

Alongside this event, paravets were sensitized to adopt all the SOPs while carrying out vaccination on mission mode and directed that no eligible animal should be leftover without vaccination.

At the end, Officers of the department made a fervent appeal to the livestock owners to cooperate with the paravet staff and get their eligible livestock vaccinated against the said disease.
