DDC Chairperson Ganderbal chairs preparatory meeting on Plan Formation for FY 2025-26
GANDERBAL, JUNE 14: District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal, today convened a meeting to discuss the Plan Formation for the FY 2025-26, chaired by DDC Chairperson, Nuzhat Ishfaq here at Mini Secretariat, Ganderbal.
The meeting reviewed physical and financial progress under the last year’s Capex budget, and initiated discussions on plan formulation for the upcoming financial year 2025–26.
Chief Planning Officer presented a detailed presentation on the achievements under the Capex Budget 2024–25. He also outlined the preliminary framework and sectoral priorities proposed for the 2025–26 financial plan, seeking suggestions and inputs from the Council Members.
While reviewing the physical and financial progress under the District Development Plan 2024-25 and other schemes, DDC Chairperson conducted a sector-wise analysis to evaluate performance.
Emphasizing the need for maximizing public benefit, she reiterated the commitment of the DDC to delivering timely and tangible development across all sectors of the district.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, lauded the active participation of DDC members and underlined the importance of coordination between line departments and elected representatives. He urged officials to work collaboratively and expedite the execution of ongoing projects.
During the session, DDC members brought forth key developmental priorities including enhancement of healthcare and education sector, upgradation of road connectivity, improvement in irrigation facilities, and strengthening of water supply schemes.
Responding to these concerns, DDC Chairperson directed the concerned officers to prioritize and fast-track these initiatives. She stressed on the need to address all pending issues raised by the DDC members and ensure timely completion of works.
The meeting was attended by DDC Vice-Chairperson, Bilal Ahmad; DDC members, ADDC, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, and various sectoral officers.
