Congress workers donate blood on world blood donation day today
Jammu, June 14- Several young workers of the Congress party today participated in the blood donation on the occasion of world blood donation day, today.
Several Young Turks of the Congress party donated blood in the blood donations camp organised by Amar Ujala newspaper at GMC hospital, Jammu. Accompanied by a team of Congress leaders under the leadership of JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Mr Ravinder Sharma Ex- MLC donated blood on the initiative of #Amar Ujala newspaper, to create awareness and contribute to the cause of saving humanity.
Those who accompanied Sanjeev Panda, Virinder Singh Manhas, Vijay Shastri, Latish Sharma , Rakesh Sharma, Sohit Sharma, Janak Mehra, Shakti Singh, Dinesh Kumar & Sohan Bhagat .
Amarujala bureau Chief Smt. Rolly Khanna and the staff of Amarujala News Paper were present on the occasion.
Speaking to reporters, Mr Ravinder Sharma said that blood donation is the biggest cause of the society and service of humanity. Youth & every healthy person within age limit should be aware and educated about donation of blood which is good for own health also.
He said such camps create awareness among General Masses but more awareness campaigns should be launched to educate people especially younger generation.
Large number of people from far flung villages and victims of accidents need blood in emergency, so such blood donations help them, urging young people to donate blood quite often as per norms.
