“Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” driving National Integration through cultural exchange: Sat Sharma
Jammu, 27 May 2025: Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, accompanied by Ajendra Sharma, Co-Incharge, “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” campaign for Jammu-Kashmir, Baldev Singh Billawaria campaign Convenor, J&K BJP, Gopal Mahajan, Co-Incharge, J&K, Munish Khajuria, Incharge Jammu Administrative District, Jai Ram Sharma, Incharge District Samba addressed a meeting on “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” campaign at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

District Convenors and co-convenors of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” campaign and representatives of prominent organizations of Pravasi (migrant) people living in the region participated in the meeting.
Sat Sharma highlighted the campaign’s vital role in fostering national unity and integrity through cultural and social exchange. He said that “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” a visionary initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeks to promote greater mutual understanding among the citizens of different states and union territories. Sharma emphasized that the knowledge of each other’s customs, languages, traditions, and heritage will create a sense of togetherness and shared identity, which is essential for the strength and progress of the nation.
Sharma added that India’s diversity is one of its greatest strengths and that this campaign aims to celebrate that diversity by promoting a spirit of unity and harmony across the country. He reiterated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi; the central government remains committed to building a cohesive and inclusive India where cultural differences are respected and appreciated.
Ajendra Sharma elaborated on BJP’s active engagement in promoting inter-state bonds through various activities such as music, theatre, food festivals, language learning, and historical exchanges. He also made a special appeal to members of the Pravasi population, particularly those hailing from Bihar, to visit their native towns and participate in the upcoming State Assembly Elections. He described voting as a crucial responsibility and a vital pillar of democratic participation.
Baldev Singh Billawaria shared detailed insights into the activities being carried out under the campaign in the union territory. He highlighted several successful initiatives that have enhanced cultural connectivity between the people of Jammu & Kashmir and other regions. Billawaria emphasized that such people-to-people interactions are instrumental in breaking down regional barriers and fostering national integration.
