Modi Government ensuring holistic empowerment of women across all sections: Sat Sharma
Jammu, 26 May 2025: The Modi government has tirelessly worked for the welfare and true empowerment of women across all sections of society, said Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, while he reaffirmed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s commitment to inclusive development.
Sharma made these remarks while addressing an organizational meeting held at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The meeting was attended by former Minister Priya Sethi, Sanjita Dogra, President of J&K BJP Mahila Morcha, Advocate Neha Mahajan, and Reema Padha, General Secretaries of Mahila Morcha, along with other senior Morcha functionaries. The leaders came together to review the outreach of various central government schemes designed specifically for women and to strategize on increasing their impact at the grassroots level.
In his address, Sat Sharma emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has launched a wide array of welfare schemes and policy reforms targeting women’s education, health, financial independence, safety, and social dignity. He cited notable initiatives such as Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, and Mission Shakti, which have brought tangible change in the lives of millions of women across the country.
Sat Sharma asked the participants to collectively resolve to take these welfare measures to the last mile, ensuring that every eligible and needy woman in Jammu & Kashmir is made aware of and benefits from these schemes. It was also stressed that the party’s Mahila Morcha must enhance its outreach activities, particularly in rural and remote areas, to educate women about their rights and entitlements under the Modi government’s initiatives.
Priya Sethi, lauding the PM Modi’s commitment for women empowerment said that whether it was bringing women to the forefront in politics, ensuring their representation in elections or promoting self-dependence, Modi ji’s approach is rooted in women-led development. She urged party workers to act as catalysts in spreading awareness and to play a proactive role in connecting women with the Modi government’s schemes and role in women empowerment.
Sanjita Dogra assured the senior party leadership of dedicated work by the Mahila Morcha. She said that Morcha activists are engaged in connecting the women with the party while ensuring women empowerment through various schemes of the Modi government.
