Dharmarth Trust pays tributes to Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi on her death anniversary
JAMMU, May 24: The J&K Dharmarth Trust today paid heartfelt tributes to Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi, wife of Hon’ble Chairman Trustee Maharaja Dr. Karan Singh ji, on her death anniversary.

At the Trust’s Srinagar office, Dr. P.S Pathania, President of the Trust, led the commemorative observance and paid floral tributes to the late Maharani. He highlighted her unwavering commitment to social upliftment and cultural preservation.
“Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi’s contributions to our society are immeasurable. Her efforts in empowering women and promoting our rich cultural heritage have left an indelible mark on our community,” Dr. Pathania said. “Her legacy serves as a beacon of inspiration, reminding us all of the importance of service, dedication, and cultural pride.”
Meanwhile, a similar programme was organised at Karaneshwar Temple, located within the premises of Shree Raghunath Ji Temple, Jammu.
On the occasion, Ashok Kumar Sharma (IPS Retd), Secretary of the Trust, performed a special Pooja and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Secretary reflected on the Maharani’s enduring influence on the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “Though she has departed from this world, Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi has left a lasting place in the hearts of the people,” he said. “She will be remembered for generations for her significant role during the transformation of the state from feudalism to democracy. Her dedication to the welfare of women and her immense contributions to the promotion of Dogra, Kashmiri, and Ladakhi culture continue to inspire.”
The Dharmarth Trust reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the values and ideals championed by Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi and vowed to carry forward her legacy of service and cultural enrichment.
